Join the Black Oak Restaurant and Tavern for our annual HALLOWEEN celebration.
During the trunk or treat cars will park in the Black Oak parking lot, decorate their trunks and the back of their cars for Halloween or promoting their small business (for decorating ideas visit here), and pass out candy or non-food treats (for those with allergies) to "trick or treaters". All items needs to be “manufacturer sealed” - no homemade treats.
No cost to participate, everyone welcome!

Starting at 10:15am, drive your vehicle to the designated area where the trunk or treat will take place and you will be directed where to park. You can bring your car decorated or decorate on site, but plan accordingly, your car must be parked before 10:45am. If you are decorating your trunk you do not need to register your family for trick or treating! We will include you in our numbers!
Please plan on at minimum 1 piece of candy per child, last year we had 275 trick or treaters registered.
Participating “trunks” must RSVP by Friday, October 22, 2021 above!

Please register to ensure we have enough candy and treats, although the event is first come first serve and we will not be taking attendance. Families coming to trick or treat should park on SIDE streets. If there is a line already formed, we asked that you get in line and please wait your turn to enter the trunk or treat area (it should move fast!).
Just like last year, we will be following COVID-19 guidelines. If a mask mandate is in effect, we will ask that all participating children and adults have a face mask either as part of their costume or for protection.
Additional COVID Safety Precautions**:
only a few groups will be allowed in the trunk or treat area at a time.
cars will be spaced generously across the lot
masks MUST be worn correctly by all in the trunk or treat area
candy is to be distributed distantly where possible - we suggest a small table or a bowl for children to grab from.
Groups are welcome to go into the Black Oak for a family friendly lunch or order food for carry-out by calling 708-572-4500. Remember, face masks are required while you are walking about the restaurant and when your waitress comes to the table.
